Ashante

Ashante, the Primordial Lord of Death, is a caring figure who shepherds souls to the afterlife, taking the form of a Gru as he helps guide Gryff and his friends. Wielding the Reaper Scythes - a twin pair of weapons able to reap any soul from its body - he calls the realm of Morte his home. Ashante is kind but do not oppose the Lord of Death, after all, we all die at some time or another and it is best not to make enemies of Death.
